Official Guardian™ installers of the innovative Guardian™ roof system
The Guardian™ roof has the ability to change your life and give you the garden room you always wanted – extending your ground floor living space creating an area that can be used every day.
The market-leading Guardian Warm Roof is a revolutionary step forward in home improvement – a high performance, lightweight roof replacement system that dramatically transforms your conservatory into an ambient, much needed space that can be used daily, all year round.
Designed to replace your existing conservatory’s glass or polycarbonate roof, the Guardian Warm Roof System retains your original windows, doors frames, walls, and is fully tested and approved to all thermal and structural standards. Plus with planning consent, internal dividing doors or walls can be removed to provide a permanent extension, opening up and connecting your new space with your existing living space, giving you that much needed additional ground floor open plan layout.
After months of testing the Guardian Roof using various materials, a superior lightweight aluminium frame was chosen due to its high-performance structural properties.
Many roof systems use timber, which weighs significantly more, putting additional stress on the existing conservatory walls. Timber is also prone to shrinkage and is often cut to size on-site unlike the Guardian Roof structural frame which is manufactured and pre-assembled under quality controlled factory conditions.
Most importantly make sure you ask to see our Team Guardian ID and you will be assured that your installer is going to do a great job. The system has been designed to give you additional assurances, not just for the roof itself but also for the quality of the installation.

A lightweight roof that is ultra efficient and attractive.
The Guardian™ roof is fully energy efficient achieving a maximum U value of 0.18 W/m2K. This enables a conservatory to be used as an extra living space all-year round. Keeping it cool in the summer and warm in winter. The Guardian™ roof is also fully approved by the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) and is fully Guaranteed.
Save money on your heating bills
Fully tested and approved to all thermal and structural standards, the Guardian™ roof is a high performance insulated roof system comprising of a pre-engineered lightweight frame, two layers of rigid insulation board, internal insulated plasterboard, exterior grade plywood and a vapour membrane. All together this creates a thermally efficient living space; keeping the warm air out in the summer and preventing the heat from escaping in the winter thus saving the amount of heat energy required to keep the room at an ambient temperature.
Only since October 2010, has it been officially possible to put a solid roof onto a conservatory or porch.
In August 2013 the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) released a circular containing some basic guidelines relating to Building Regulation Legislation which apply to the replacement of a translucent roof (made from glass or polycarbonate) onto a conservatory or porch with a solid roof.
The Guardian™ solid roof is a strong, lightweight tiled roof and is fully approved by the Local Authority Building Control.
To comply with part L of the building regulations 2010, all roofs to rooms (except those in unheated buildings) should be thermally insulated to a maximum U-value of 0.18 W/m²K.
The building as a whole must be structurally sound. Any alterations that affect the original structure must be carefully considered. The foundations must be checked to ensure their suitability for an increased loading. The conservatory window framework must be assessed also and the new roof structure must be proven to be structurally sound.
